Review of Cynical Swing - Colin Briscoe from KK’s Blues Radio 2SER-107.3FM Sydney

HomeBrew – Cynical Swing

Here is a very nice blues album by Western Australian based blues outfit Homebrew. Homebrew tour the length and breadth of Australia proving to the east that they can more than meet any match up in blues thrown up from the east coast bands.

Homebrew are not your normal run of the mill blues bands but really pack a whole lot of clout when it comes to dishing up some powerful blues sounds with the additional bite that includes the combination of ripping saxophone/clarinet (Mal Toft) and driving harmonica (Chris Gibbs).
